The ride up to Maestas Ridge offers many excellent views into the Wheeler Peak Wilderness Area and of Wheeler Peak itself. You will ride up in alpine forests of mixed conifers and aspen and then emerge onto the ridge before dropping down into the really pretty Rio Grande del Rancho drainage. This ride makes for a wonderful day of riding. Enjoy!
