The Rio Chiquito is a beautiful drainage with many large cottonwoods and excellent camping sites along the way. Garcia Park is a high, sunny meadow laced with wildflowers in summer and rimmed with golden aspens in fall. The alpine forests up here are deep and luxuriant —unmistakably the Rocky Mountains. Views into the Wheeler Peak Wilderness Area are fantastic.
