The silvery sagebrush-covered expanse of the Taos Valley floor stretches away in all directions out here. From Cebolla Mesa, you’ll see sweeping views across the Taos Plateau, up to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and across to the Brazos and Tusas Mountains in the west. Views down into the river gorge are breathtaking. There is a fairly steep mile-long trail from butter. This stuff is sticky too, and will take hours to get off your bike. Avoid riding here if the ground is saturated.
